a collision with Doyle Gipson, also on the way to the courthouse - for his children's' custody hearing. In that moment the duo's lives alter forever. Short on time and under pressure, Banek offers Gipson a blank cheque to cover the cost of the accident, and avoid the delay of "doing things properly" as Gipson suggests. Desperate to get to court, Banek drives off ignoring Gipson's pleas for a lift. As Banek speeds off he is blissfully unaware that he has dropped an important file he needs for his case, right at Gipson's feet. When Gipson finally manages to get a lift to his hearing he is too late, loosing the case and his family. Brimming with rage Gipson decides it is time for some payback. In the meantime, Banek manages to stall his own hearing and is given until the end of the day to produce the vital paperwork. A battle of wills commences. When Gipson refuses to hand over the file, Banek opts for coercion and arranges an anonymous electronic bankruptcy, triggering a series of reprisals between the two men. Gipson attempts to cause Banek to have a fatal crash by tampering with his car, while Banek torments Gipson by pretending his children have been involved in an accident. Just as a solution could be in sight the stakes are raised once again. Changing Lanes is a dramatic and provocative look at urban life, and a warning for all those living in the city - where a little courtesy could go a long way…
