If these walls could talk goes inside one home, peeling back the wallpaper for intimate glimpses of the lives of three different women living there in three different decades. Moore, Spacek and Cher star separately in the three stories that comprise the film. The first story stars Moore as a young widow, in the era when abortion was illegal,who unexpectedly finds herself pregnant. Set in the 70's after Roe vs Wade, the second story stars Spacek as a 40 year old wife and mother, who, on the verge of resuming her career after raising four children, becomes pregnant. The third story, set in the present day, stars Cher as a doctor in a clinic besieged by protesters and co-stars Anne Heche as a college student confronting an unexpected pregnancy.
