David Essex stars as Jim MacLaine, a rebellious working class lad desperate to trade his fairground job for a life of glamour in this rock 'n' roll revival. After being abandoned by his father as a child, Jim grows up to realise that exams and work are not for him. One day he chances upon a guitar in a pawn shop, and takes a decision that will change his life forever. A co-starring role for Ringo Starr, plus appearances by Billy Fury, Keith Moon and Pete Townshend makes this film a must for fans of 70's music.
