Elinor uses her head...Marianne follows her heart. Two sisters on very different paths, are about to discover there's only one road that leads to true love. SENSE & SENSIBILITY is the glorious adaptation of JANE AUSTEN's timeless story, brought to life with humour, heart and wonderful performances by a cast that includes EMMA THOMPSON (Oscar winner for HOWARD'S END), ALAN RICKMAN (from DIE HARD), HUGH GRANT (from FOUR WEDDINGS & A FUNERAL) and TITANIC's KATE WINSLETT in one of her first major screen roles.

Classically romantic...

It's a no-brainer for anyone who's ever believed in love. Despite sharing an almost identical plot-line to Austen's other much loved classic, Pride & Prejudice, which had an equally adored BBC series - Sense & Sensibility is quite wonderful. The cast is as brilliant on the screen as one would expect and Ang Lee's obsession with "Han Xu" (the implicit) gets a classical setting. Even the most macho of male couldn't refuse to go weak at the knees at the sheer romance of this film.
