Crumb

synopsis

Terry Zwigoff's funny yet poignant portrait of Robert Crumb has collected rave reviews from around the world. It was the hit of the New York Film Festival and Sundance, where it picked up the Grand Jury prize. Crumb was the archetypal underground artist of the '60s. His work was always vivid, usually anarchic, sometimes violent and pornographic. Not only did he confront his generation's taboos, he positively embraced them in work such as "Fritz the Cat".
