Bugsy Malone

synopsis

Bugsy Malone is hilarious, spoof gangster musical set in 1929, New York. A world of would-be hoodlums, showgirls, dreamers, speakeasies and a dreaded new weapon, "The Splurge Gun!". Gang warfare erupts as Fat Sam and his archrival Dandy Dan battle for Top Dog status. The Big City is turned into a state of chaos, where double-crossing and custard pie fights are rife. Meanwhile, newcomer Blousey Brown falls into bad company with gangsters Fat Sam and his jealous, sharp-tongued girlfriend Tallulah (Jodie Foster), when all she wants is fame, fortune and to go to Hollywood. Can our hero Bugsy Malone (Scott Baio) save the day and rescue Blousey? With a cast entirely made up of children, Bugsy Malone is totally unique. A fantastic family adventure and excellent soundtrack. Quite simply there has never, ever been a movie like it.
