Bruno Nuytten's Camille Claudel is the moving, passionate and tragic true story of France's greatest sculptor, Rodin, and his muse, Camille Claudel. Camille became an apprentice to Rodin and, despite their differences in age and much opposite, they fell in love. Their stormy love affair lasted for 15 years. She was Rodin's greatest inspiration, but also a talented sculptor in her own right. Her passion for Rodin and for her work were at odds with each other and, despite attempts to break free from his influence and make a name for herself in a male-dominated world, her ultimate escape was madness.
