Based on a timeless theme enveloping the rebirth of hope and the recapturing of lost dreams through a great love, ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ tells a tenderly dramatic story of two bewildered souls who find their way to social and emotional rehabilitation. Ginger Rogers is the girl who is on leave from prison where she is serving a sentence for a crime she couldn’t avoid committing, and Joseph Cotton is an emotionally upset soldier returning for the Christmas holiday. After a ten day romantic interlude, interrupted only by a trouble-making cousin (Shirley Temple), the two are enabled to face the world and its problems afresh, secure in their love for each other.
