Neurosurgeon Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Gene Wilder), inherits a castle from his grandfather Baron Von Frankenstein - the notoriously experimental German nobleman. On travelling to the ancestral pile he discovers his grandad's scientific papers and decides to recreate his 'shocking' experiments - namely, reanimating the dead... 'Young Frankenstein' features a plethora of fine performances from co-stars Peter Boyle, Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Kenneth Mars and Gene Hackman. It also boasts a witty and farcical script, with great attention to detail and a high level of affection for its literary and cinematic sources - in particular James Whale's classic movies 'Frankenstein' and 'Bride Of Frankenstein' - making this one of the best screen comedies ever made!
