synopsis

A young Japanese couple, obsessed with 1950s America and the music of Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, visits Memphis. Chance encounters link three different stories in the city, with the common thread being the seedy hotel where they are all staying. Screamin' Jay Hawkins plays a cameo as the hotel night clerk.
