The official record of the Nazi Party Congress held in Nuremberg in 1934. After World War II this film was banned because of general fears that it might inspire a new Nazi Party.
In 1935 Leni Riefenstahl was approached by the President of the German Olympic Committee to make a film of the 1936 Berlin Olympics, which were being staged by Gobells as a giant propaganda exercise. Using 44 cameramen and a staff of hundreds Leni shot over 300,000 feet of film.
