Welcome to the suck. Jarhead is the darkly funny, action-packed screen adaptation of the best-selling autobiography by former US Marine Anthony Swofford. In 1991, nineteen year old Anthony Swofford (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a third generation marine enlistee.
