The Prisoner - Volume 4 of 5 (Episodes 13-16)

synopsis

Following his resignation, a high ranking Government Official is abducted from his home and taken to a picturesque seaside location known as "The Village". However, the idealic surroundings hide a sinister world where "guests" are simply labelled as numbers and escape is impossible. His captors want secret information and will use any means to obtain it - give in and you'll be left to live out your days as a brainwashed member of the community - rebel and your stay will be far from pleasant.

With escape the objective, THE PRISONER must also strive to maintain his identity throughout the clever methods of interrogation employed by his abductors, whilst pursuing his obsession to discover "Who is Number 1?"

Can they break him?
How far will they go?
Or can THE PRISONER escape and outsmart them all?

First screened in 1967, Patrick McGoohan's television masterpiece has refused to be resigned to the past with new generations discovering its unique plots, colourful production values and striking images.

Living in Harmony:
The Prisoner may be out of The Village, but he finds himself in Harmony – a wild western town in need of a Sheriff. Initially refusing, The Judge convinces Number 6 to accept the post, leading to a gun fight with a misfit known as “The Kid”. Number 6 has had enough & wants to resign, but The Judge has other ideas.

The Girl Who Was Death:
The Prisoner returns to his job tracking down a crazed scientist. His pursuit is challenged by the scientist’s daughter, aptly named “Death”, who is intent on protecting her father, setting a series of deadly traps leading Number 6 on a merry chase. Can he save London from an exploding rocket, or is this his final story?

Once Upon A Time:
Having used all known methods of extracting information from Number 6 & failing, Number 2 decides the final alternative is “Degree Absolute”. At the end of this process one of them will be dead & should it be Number 2, Number 6 will have his questions answered & meet with Number 1.
