Directed by Patrice Leconte (The Girl on the Bridge, Monseur Hire, Hairdresser's Husband), My Best Friend is a touching and entertaining buddy film. Francois (Daniel Auteil: The Valet, The Girl on the Bridge), an antique dealer, is told candidly by his business partner Catherine (Julie Gayet: Hotel Harabati, A Woman in Winter), that he has no friends. Catherine sets him a challenge giving him 10 days to produce a 'best friend'. Accepting the wager, Francois scans his address book working through a series of unlikely candidates and finds the answer in a trivia-spouting cabbie named Bruno (Dany Boon: The Valet, Joyeux Noel).
