Co-written and co-starring Peter Cook and Dudley Moore in one of their early silver screen roles. Dudley Moore stars as Stanley Moon, an amiable but timid Wimpy Bar cook who agrees to sell his soul to the devil, if he can't 'make it' with the girl of his dreams, waitress Margaret Spencer (Eleanor Bron). Peter Cook (as Satan) provides him with seven wishes in exchange for his soul; luscious Raquel Welch (as Lilian Lust) is on hand to offer one aspect of temptation... But Stanley doesn't realise that his wishes will be double edged and you need to use very precise language when making a bargain with the devil! An hilariously satirical updating of the 'Faust' legend with both Dudley Moore and Peter Cook in top form.
