The Cave of the Yellow Dog

synopsis

Mongolian drama, from director Byambasuren Davaa. Six-year-old Nansaa (Nansalmaa Batchuluun) is out taking a walk when she finds a small dog in a nearby cave. Her father, worried about the effect the dog will have on his sheep, tells her to get rid of it, but when he is away on a long trip to the city, Nansaa decides to keep the dog. When the dog goes missing one day, she sets off to find him, and encounters an old nomad woman who tells her the legend of the cave of the yellow dog. From the director of "The Weeping Camel"
