Caroline (Kate Hudson), a young hospice nurse is hired to care for the ailing husband of an elderly woman in the couple's home, a foreboding and decrepit plantation mansion just outside of New Orleans. Intrigued by the couple and their mysterious and secretive ways Caroline explores the house using a skeleton key to unlock all the doors.
